Today, I am excited to bring you my conversation with H.W. Brands. Dr. Brands nearly needs no introduction. He is an American Historian that has written 30 books on a variety of topics throughout American history. His most recent book that came out last October is The Zealot and the Emancipator: John Brown, Abraham Lincoln, and the Struggle for American Freedom. He’s also a professor of History at UT Austin. Today’s conversation covers everything from Mexican American War and Gold Rush to value of tech companies and venture capital and it all relates, I promise.
